NEEBING BRUINS (IP1)

The Neebing Bruins IP1 coaching staff would like to welcome all players to the 2015-2016 hockey season.

This year we will be focusing on basic skills and development. We hope to see each player grow and develop confidence in their abilities.

FUN is the main goal and we hope all players enjoy their Bruins experience.

Please check this site regularly.  All practices/games and any other important information will be posted on this site.

Chocolate Bars

REMINDER... chocolate bar money is due at the practice on November 16th

Clothing

Clothing sizing kit will be brought to practices on November 4th and 7th.  Ordering clothing is optional and orders will be due by November 9th.  Players are welcome to come 15 to 20 minutes early to try on and place orders

Pictures

Team and individual pictures will be done during practice on November 16th.  Ordering pictures is optional

IP1 Jamborees

The Bruins have registered for the following four tournaments/jamborees:     

       Timbits Hockey Jamboree (free)                     - Jan 9, 2016

       Robins Minor Hockey Classic Tournament        - Jan 16-17, 2016

       Norwest Stars of Tomorrow Tournament         - Feb 20-21, 2016

       Elks Tom Thumb IP1 Jamboree                             - Apr 2-3, 2016

Neebing will pay for one tournament.  The cost will be $13 per player to participate in the Norwest Stars of Tomorrow Tournament and $16 per player for the Elks Tom Thumb Jamboree.     

Hockey Hero Program

Our Thunderwolves Hockey Hero Night on Wednesday, December 30th  is coming up very quickly. 

Player and coach tickets will be handed out at the Saturday, December 19th andMonday, December 21st ice times. All other tickets must be purchased at the box office. 

Coaches will choose one player to be the Hockey Hero and who will join the Thunderwolves on ice for the pre-game introductions. All other players will bring their equipment to either Dressing Room A between 6:45-7:00 that evening. The dressing room will then be locked. 

First Intermission
Kids will be divided into teams, and will put on full equipment and Thunderwolves Hockey Hero Jerseys. Once on the ice, the kids will play a short 3 minute game. 

Second Intermission
Kids will dress in only skates, helmet, gloves and their Bruins jerseys. With the assistance of coaches, kids will clean up the chuck-a-pucks.

Novice Thunderhawks win Neebing Classic

The Neebing Classic a big success for the 38th year running!  Special Congratulations to the Novice Neebing Thunderhawks for winning the novice division.  As we have seen many times in recent years, two Neebing Teams faced off in the finals, as the Neebing Hawks found themselves meeting the Thunderhawks in the championship game for a fantastic 1 goal game.

Bring your team to a Walleye's Game Next Weekend!

FREE PIZZA

Fighting Walleye Minor Hockey Weekend Prepurchase a minimum of 10 adult game tickets for $10 each and your team will receive pizza at the game. The players admission is free. Just email or phone before Thursday Novemeber 22nd at 12pm to book your game night experience.
Come out and see the Fighting Walleye play against the Telus Cup host Thunder Bay Kings, Thursday November 22 at the Tournament Centre. Game time is 7:30 The Walleye will try and hand the Kings their first loss. The Kings beat the fish 3 - 2 earlier this season.
On Saturday November 24th, First place will be on the line as The Walleye face arch rival, Northern Hawks. The two teams have split the first two games of the season, and with top spot on the line the intensity level will be high in this prime time tilt. Game time is 8 pm
